Kick-a-thon Raises Funds for Storyteller Children's Center

This summer, our dojo family kicked for a cause close to home. Our annual kick-a-thon, held during our Summer Promotional Picnic at Manning Park, raised funds for Storyteller Children's Center here in Santa Barbara.

Kicking for a cause

In the weeks before the event, students gathered sponsors. On picnic day, they stepped up and kicked their hearts out for a cause bigger than themselves.

We believe martial arts should make you a better neighbor, not just a better fighter. A kick-a-thon turns the work students do in every class into real help for families in our own community, and it shows kids that their strength can make a difference for someone else.

A promotion picnic at Manning Park

The kick-a-thon was part of a full day for our dojo family. At our Summer Promotional Picnic, students were promoted to their next rank and families shared a barbecue. It was a day of celebrating hard work and giving back, side by side.
